Hoshizaki Ice Machine

Hiya all,

I got a call out friday night to a ice machine not creating any cubed ice. When I got there, both evaps were iced up solid. I fully defrosted and checked the hot gas solenoid valve. Working ok, suction pressure at 6.5 bar. Ran on a harvested, suction pressure 3.5 bar. I cleaned the condenser and carried out an acid clean....

Im going back early next week to check on the unit again as site are saying that the unit has been a problem for about 6 months.

Just wondering if anybody can think of anything else that I may need to check...

No offense, but your post is a bit confusing.

What was your back pressure when the machine was trying to make ice?

Hiya dennycrane,

Suction pressure when trying to make ice is 3.5 bar.

Suction pressure when on a defrost is 6.5 bar.

None taken, but how is that confusing....
