Could anyone please help regarding selecting a capillary tube for a single door commercial freezer using a Supco Bullet Restricto Capillary Kit?

The compressor is a Cubigel GP14FB 3/8 HP on R134A but Supco's selection chart does not include this size compressor. The condenser is fan cooled but the evaporator is without a fan.

I have attached Supco's sizing chart.

Any other suggestions to what the capillary size should be or how to size the capillary would be greatly appreciated! :)

Download Dancap from Danfoss and you can calculate just what you need.

Remember that most cap tube sizing is an experiment.

Thanks for the advice Peter but I am not sure on finding some of the calculations needed with DanCap such as heat load of the system. I presume that the evaporating temp and the return gas temp will give the evaporator superheat differential??

DanCap seems to be a good software, but could someone please let me know, how to estimate the heatload in a easy way for any specifik unit ? For example, it can be tricky to estimate the heat load for a bottle fridge when one wants to change the cap.tube. Kind regards / Tobias

Software or no software. The cap tube primary purpose is to meter the amount of refrigerant getting to a specific part of the refrigerant circuit. So what you need to know is how much flow through the original cap tube and match up a size and length that will do the same.
