I would like to keep frozen food in my insulated box (approx 1m x 1m x 1m ext [could be reduced]) with 75mm walls. This is kept in the back of my van. I deliver door to door & often have to keep opening the box to show the products. I would like to keep the food frozen (to -18C) & have used dry ice (expensive & wasteful). Is there some way I can refrigerate the box, without using the engine (as I had with my freezer van), perhaps with use of eutectic plates + some kind of set up, which operates from the battery. Any suggestions welcome.

hi bluelynx44,
I thought it was law in the uk to use a refrigerated van to transport frozen food at the required temp ? sedgy.

Find a marine refrig company that makes freezers for launches and yaughts. Stand alone system with double wall eutectic plates. Plug it into power overnight, stays super cold all day.

We have a unit on this side of the pond that runs off DC volts from the alternator and is plugged in at night. Works great.
