Do you know the algorithm used (altherma) in the defrost opereretion?

Are you planning to alter the software Algorithm or just understand it?

According to Wikipedia(sp?) .....

"Each algorithm is a list of well-defined instructions for completing a task. this will vary from outdoor temp to outdoor coil temp and compressor accumulated running time. this is detailed in the service manual which can be downloaded from the extranet
