This is going to sound crazy but we have had quite a few TS units with compressor issues that have caused puriotic overheating of engine or compressor itself. They do strange things these scrolls.
Most likely though, it's a dirty condenser. Clean that sucker realy good!
Maybe watching the temp while it runs will help you deturman the source of issue. (Is it really over heating or are wires shorted somewere)
Hope this helps,
Abbs

abbsnowman (http://www.refrigeration-engineer.com/forums/member.php?u=16144) is right check your compresor temp with a laser when its works also check engine rpms ....

also check connections onto micro processor, I have found on some older units the pins become dirty/worn and create a slighty high resistance causing a fluctuation on the sensor circuit

make sure your rpm is correct on both high+low speed clean the condensor first and foremost, make sure the belts are 100% condition + tension fuel filters are clean, maybe up the low speed slightly[drivers opt for the low speed setting when they feel like it]

You`ve got to remember guys, on all TS, MD,KD, RD units, head pressure affects coolant temp. Cos guess where the rad is, right behind the condenser.
