Hi all,

Can I ask a probable silly question?

I have just bought 2 10year old lorry units for our farm and need to know how to use the timer function on the cab command, is says set for 7m on and 45off but the engine still runs all the time, we use these as we don't have electric to the farm but thought that their engine would start and stop as and when it needed to and not run all the time.

also when set to temp start, should it again start up and stop when required?

Thanks in advance

Marc

If controll is set for auto start stop and unit continuosly runs, check the water temp sensor and battery voltage. They as well as box temp must be satisfied before unit will shut off.

i've pressed the button that looks like a face without a smile which say auto start stop but it doesn't seem to do anything, is there another way?

Thanks

Check on Function change the function Auto Op or Manu OP. It Must be set on " AUTO OP" otherwise the unit starts on S/S but don't stop.

You have to read the Voltage on the cab control.
If the voltage is enought to stop the unint you must see a "+" before the indication of the voltage.

OK so you have it on Start/Stop(black circle with to circles inside) should be displayed on the Cab Command if it is not on there the unit will not shut off, and the unit still does not turn off? Using the "Unit Data Key, what is the water temp? you say the Batt voltage is 14.1v this is good.

Theres your problem...the water temp in not hot enough, either the sensor is faulty or you Engine thermostat is stuck open,i can't remeber the exact figures but a temp of 150F is required

Water temp has to be 122°F or greater to allow shutdown.

Not true. If it is in S/S it is in S/S regardless of the auto op / man op setting. IF it is in Man op and on continuous run. The unit won't start automaticly, it will have to be started with the manual switch. Don't want to see somebody get hurt. S/S is S/S, it will automaticly start and stop.
