Hi from cold Norway.

I am into some Copeland Copelamatic's 1.5hp compressors. I have to install them in a very narrow space on a -85c freezedrier so I will reuse the old Rotalock's. The new ones have a kind of figured metal gaskets between the Rotalock's and the body. The paper gasket I am used to is simply gone. Due to the high pressures on the 508B circuit and a cooling failure after loosing may be 10grams, it is important to be sure that the Rotalock,s does not leak. I have no experience with the new gasket style It is not to many users of Copelamatic here so I hope that may be someone out there can give me a go or not for using them. If not, I have to make 4 new gaskets since they are not common here either.

The metal gaskets are much more efficient than paper ones, only when the two surfaces are perfectly planar. If there are any scratches or bumps, then paper gaskets are better, because they incorporate the imperfections.
