Hi, could somebody tell me if it possible to lengthen a capillary tube by brazing another section to it using somekind of coupler?

Anything is possible, can you not purchase some of the correct length.

Yes just make sure both ends are clean cut and crimp into a small section of 1/4 pipe. It will not effect the
overall performance too much.

yes it is possible to add a splice i saw one on a dorm sized mini frige i recently scrapped for the metals.
it looks like either the manufacturer ran out of long enough line on 1 roll and spliced to another roll or a repair was made where the filter drier was replaced with one from another junker and spliced.
