Good evening gents.

I have a site that has developed an 'E9' fault on a multi system.

Master unit: REMQ12P8Y1B
Slave unit: REMQ10P8Y1B.

My engineer has checked over the system and has located the fault to the subcooler expansion valve on the 'master' unit.
In the meantime he has set up emergency mode '38' to enable the slave unit to operate, but the system still keeps faulting. The command for this setting has been accepted but upon attempting to switch on the system via the ITC the system still registers the fault code 'E9' and the system will not operate.
Anybody came across this before?

Regards
Jase

hey jase

ive had a similar problem with the vrv's and i also have the daikins service manual i looked up E9 and it can eitha be the electronic expantion valve playing up or the A1P PCB board so try running the board through the tests to make sure its not faulty,

if you put the unit in emergency operation then drop the power to master unit it shouldn't fault out
