Toshiba RAV-240KR(W) - replacement remote controller?

Our cousin has a really old Toshiba air con RAV240KR(W). They just lost the remote controller. The compatible remotes are WC-B1SE or WC-E1BE, but the dealer said these are simply too old to be available anymore.

Question 1: Is there any newer model of Toshiba remote or Universal Air Con Remote which is compatible with the said Toshiba air con, and which is more commonly available?

Question 2: Apart from the model number of the remote, how to identify or check whether any recommended remote will actually work with the said Toshiba air con?
