I have for many years specified helical titanium units, for the aquaculture industry, and they have worked without fault.
In the aquaculture industry the product [clams, mussels crabs ect] add contaminants to the water which will eventually block a plate exchanger but not the helical.

Like Aupanner said, Bitzer does a good sea water resistant condenser.

Have about 800 in operation and no problems, some are 10 years old.
