Hi

I'm hoping that there isn't a problem but would like to make sure.

I have a Zanussi ZBB 6284 fridge freezer, about 6 months old. I noticed the other day that an area of the back panel is warm to the touch from inside the fridge - the area is just above the drain hole. the rest of the fridge wall is cold and the firdge itself is cold. The temparture of the warm area varies.

I defrosted the unit and left it standing for 24 hours, but having switched it on again the same thing is happening. Is this normal operation, ie, I'm feeling heat from the compressor or something through the back panel?

Grateful for any help!

Contact the manufacture,it's under gaurantee and I'm sure they will advise you accordingly. However defrost heaters are often installed within the cabinet walls, they help to ensure defrost water doesn't freeze in the channels or drain hole.

Thanks, I'll give them a try. What you suggest may be what I'm finding
