Can anybody help please? The fridge is 5+ years old and has suddenly developed an extremely noisy fan. I assume it is the fan because the noise only occurs when the fan switches on.

thanks for your response but it's an external fan not internal. It's situated at the rear base of the unit below the freezer section

Worn out bushes or bearings. Time for replacement, but check for obstructions first.. mike
