Hello,

Does anyone know what the air flow restrictions are for the propper operation of Trane Koolman mini-chiller? I would like to know if it is correct to place a unit behind another unit or what are the recomendation for a propper installation.

best regards.

According to the Trane data booklet
http://www.dalkia.com.au/literature/Refrigeration/Air-Cooled%20Chillers/Scroll/PKGP-PRC006-EN_cgakcgar.pdf

The maintenance space required around the unit is:-
Front, air outlet - 1500mm
Sides - 300mm
Rear, air inlet - 500mm
Top - 500mm

Make sure that you stick to the minimum free area as Brian has posted. Then, increase as required if the units are in a well. Look out for situations that could cause discharge air recirculation. And for heaven's sake don't discharge one condenser into the other or have the discharge facing each other without controlling the air path!
Consult your local Trane office. After all, they're supposed to know all this stuff! ;)
