sir,
in spilt unit suction line getting frost some time, but some time it"s running normal. gas charge is normal and evaporator coil is clean,room temperature also normal:eek:

Frost comes from ambient air due to cold pipework.

I'd say that it is possible the a/c runs for extended periods and without regular off cycles ( only if it is not the variable speed type), it can temporarily ice the evaporator. Why? Could be set too low temperature or has a high heat load.. mike.:cool:

Or low latent heat in the room like in a computer room
