If you remember my last topic, i was looking for a cheaper way to cool air (cheaper energy-wise) than HVAC. So far, i've not had many ideas, however i came up with something.

What i'm thinking is a regular Coolerado unit with a slight diference, wich would be changing it's refrigerant from water to ethanol, i belive this would allow it to effectively evaporate even in very humid air. Since you actually know what you're talking about (unlike me) i'd like to see what you think about this idea.

Thanks.

Isn't ethanol flamable... You risk things getting very hot very quickly if this coolerado is a type of swamp cooler!

If the memory serves right, the liquid inside coolerado never gets any warmer than the inocoming air. Coolerado is an indirect swamp cooler.
