Hi, my company are only willing to put us through a 3 day course for the 2079. Does anyone that has this got any advise for the course or shall I pay the extra for the 5 days? I currently have 4 years experience and completed NVQ level 2 and starting level 3 in November?
Thanks.

Hi Mark.
Does not obtaining 2079 form part of your NVQ training?
Meaning it's done "in house" at your training centre.

Hi, no unfortually not as they included it into the course after I had completed it. All I completed was the 2078.

Simply 2079 is not included in any nvq due the f gas being mandatory

but to answer your question if you have completed your nvq 2 you will have no problem with a 3 day course

3 day which center ?

Thats obviously an offer they are doing which is good for yourself , my point was that 2079 is not part of the NVQ but is a separate qualification.
They are obviously a decent center who can provide both qualifications.
good luck

I have an apprentice about to start nvq2 and the 2079 is included in the course. Although I do accept he fact that it is a separate qualification and probably bolted onto the NVQ. He has been with me for 9 months and recently got through the CITB "F" Gas course , even though I had him booked on a 4 day course he finished it in 3 days.

Anyone completing the NVQ2 would most likely be comfortable getting through the "f" gas qual.
