Hi,

i would like to know that what kind of oil should be used as refrigerant oil for YORK, YAEP Chiller. R22 is the gas.

Kindly help me in this.

As it's R22 I would suspect it would be York ABC!

Type of oil used should be on the compressor's nameplate.

Hi Weddrops, there two type of oil that you can use York oil C or E. Both of this oil use for YAEP. May I know which site is this in Qatar? I work with York Qatar last year.

hi,york recommend hi performance high ambient poe E oil for the gulf units, york c used to be used for units before but E oil for high speed oil pumps.

Are these units running on R22?
Because the original question was related to a R22 system.

Sorry to question you Muju.
But if you check the attached Data sheet you will see that York E is a mineral Oil.
Which is suitable for R22!

can i change the YORK E refrigerant Oil with 5GS? as YORK E is not available in QATAR.

i think this units are the first air to water screw chillers if so then the oil is 5gs i know for sure because i have used my self
