i have a couple of arneg units that have a funny size of suction pipe, its just a little bit smaller than 1/2 inch and a big bit larger than 3/8th can anyone shed some light on what size of pipe this is.:confused:

Measure it with sliding rule! It could be metric size pipes of 10 an 12 mm.

Yep, got to agree with Nike. It's metric fridge pipe.

I have had it with Pastorfrigor/Coolfast dairy decks.

Metric it is!
I had the same with a couple of Alfa Lava condensers.
I ended up swaging the pipe to accommodate Imperial Tails!

cheers guy's it appears to be 12mm the problem i have is we removed the unit from airside of a airport to change a compressor, the engineer cut the suction and liquid line asuming it was 1/2 inch and 3/8 suction, with the plan of fitting flared strait connectors once we fitted the compressor, turned out to be 12mm pipe suction and 5/16th liquid arrrrggghhhhhh.
