hi all,how many air changes are recomended for pipe lay off[cool water line]to prevent the pipes from rusting?

Thanks for reply. I mean, supply return chilled water
pipes.now the project will stopped for more then 1 year.so i need some solution for prevent?[chilled water pipes already installed lenth 9 km]

I wouldn't put air on it but rather charged with nitrogen to remove all oxygen...so no chemical reacting with the residual water and with the iron could occur.

Thanks, but pipe lenth is 9 km[supply and return is 18 km].so,we cant give nitrogen continusly. So we are disguss dehumidifier.but they are asked 100 air changes.we are normally use for smoking room 15 air changes.so ???

Have you ran water in the pipes yet?
Is one end higher?
If there are water inside, can you empty it completely?

I may be not understand quite well...if your pipe is closed/stopped you only need to full one time. You don't need to pressurize the pipes and the nitrogen is cheap.
