Fujitsu Split

Hi
I am just installing a split system model no Fujitsu ASYA12LGC/AOYR12LGC
I want to install the indoor unit and outdoor unit myself then get it piped up and commissioned by somebody else
My question is the cable that is attached to the indoor unit has a two pin plug on it what I want to do is cut the cable to length that suits my installation and fit a UK three pin plug
But the instructions for the indoor unit says NEVER CUT THE POWER CORD , LENGHEN OR SHORTEN THE CORD OR CHANGE THE PLUG
I can see why you should not lengthen the cable but not why you should not change the plug or shorten the cable
Any advice please

It is possible for you! Brown wire L, blue wire N,yellow wire GRN

just cut it off, the plug is europe model and it dose not mater which way round the blue and brown are for it to work.
