I men really old, the type with LED display, marked as 'MRKK' and 'micom control'.
edit: CU-4CHV11P
Do these units just switch themselves off in the event of a fault (HP, thermistor etc)? Or is it swtiching off because of control failure/PCB?
Is there any type of faults that can be determined?

I think I've had some in the past that switch themselves off if the e fan or cf stopped working and never would self diagnose or give me any hint, but I may be remembering incorrectly.

These are simple units with just relays, but do have HP cut out, defrost PCB and thermistor, indoor thermistors. There's no LEDs or test/check buttons.
Just making sure because I've got a few that seem to run OK when I'm there, but have just turned themselves off on other days (and not come back on for a while - HP maybe)
