HELP

Can anyone tell me what the ideal temp settings for beer are on a super chiller in celsius, im pretty sure that full strength is - 2 c but not 100% sure on the mid strength and light beers.

Cheers

Hey Kaneos!

I'd stay just on the warm side of -2C. Worked at a bar last week that had been running at -1.8C for years... thought they'd freeze the mid for sure, but then found their keg room sits at about 10C. If the kegs are kept at 2C I'd bump it up to -1.5C. Suck it and see tho.... after setting the superchiller, pour a middie off and check the temp with your thermometer... any colder than 0C and you kill the taste of the beer... and we don't want that now do we? :D Any warmer than about 1C on the first pour and a pint will go warm by the bottom 1/3glass.... and we don't want that either!! ;D

definitely no lower than -2.2 deg c,or you might find the light ices up at the plate inlet then splits the line at the barb, beer everywhre but it is light and i dont really care.
