Reefer containers tx valves

Can someone tell me why flare type tx valves are not commonly used with reefer containers? Most reefer containers I worked on are Alco flange type tx valves.:o

Probably because of vibration problems and maybe different regulations that the reefer may travel past.

a good flare joint in my opinion is as good as a solder joint but not many engineers could perfect and so warranty and cost times made flares redundant

its because they dont want guys playing with the valves. Way harder to adjust when the guts are on the inside. now everything is EEV so again guys cant play around.
