One of my drivers called me and told me that the fault light on my reefer was on. He said it also read "out of range". Initially, the reefer was set at 44 degrees continuos, but its at 51

So 44 is set point, ergo the temperature to be maintained.
The set differential is obviously less than 7.
Hence the OUT OF RANGE Alarm.
Meaning the control stat is outside it's set control range!
In terms a dispatch person can understand.
Your unit has a problem where the temperature has risen to far!

Out of range alarm indicates that the unit has not achieved setpoint in 45 mins. If they were running unit with doors open, that would be the source of issue.

If the unit is configured to shut down on an out of range alarm, it means the unit has been in range and has gone out of range for 45 mins, like abbs said. Most units are not set up to shut down. If it isn't, it means it has been in range once and has gone out of range for 15 mins. Pretty common code when trailers are precooled and then backed in the dock with the unit left running.
