Hi guys

what effect will acraclad coating(on coil) have if there is ammonia in atmosphere. Also i know acraclad coating is anti coorosive and protects coil from moisture effects but i wanna learn more

well actually its a chilled water coil with acraclad coating on it and client says that process room contains air with NH3 (ammonia) traces in it
so he wants us to tell what effect acraclad coatin have on ammonia or vice versa

Hi Ali.

I did once a cold store for goat cheese and the air is "full " of amonia.
Tried with Blygold and it lasted for only one year.

The best result that works fine for 4 years now is spraying epoxy paint into the coil with high pressure spraying gun.
At least 4 coats.
It should do the job.

tell me what effect will epoxy paint have on heat transfer capability aluminum fins when they are coated with epoxy paint
