Howden WRV oil connections

Can anyone advise on correct piping of oil connections .
Each compressor has 4 off oil connections , 2 on each side of compressor that common up connections and have usually only seen 2 used .
What conditions would require all 4 to be piped up and does ot matter if you connect them anyway?

The four connections are to provide piping options dependant on the package configuration, connecting all four would not be detrimental, but is not required. On some tilt pad bearing compressors (designated WRVT) it is recommended to have both dicharge end connections connected to provide additional lubrication.
