Can any one let me know if you are facing any problem with the leaving chilled water temperature from YORK chiller YAEP 6666. The chiller is not giving a constant outlet temperatur, it is ranging between 43 to 50 F.

Hi Ary,

Can you give the pick load operating readings of the chiller? It difficult to figure out without basis.

Thanks Dennis for passing.
Actually I`ve gone through York O&M manual, and it is clearly talking about the mixed water temperature from the two evaporators of one chiller, and there is a control range temperature. So I think the chiller is indeed designed like that. Can anyone confirm that, and what is effect on the whole system when the supply temperature is varying from 43F to 50F.

Hi, initially ur mix water temp say 42, unit temp set pt be 43f - 45f with less diff will maintain the hedder temp, also check rate sensitivity, be kept min of 3.5- 3.7. If load constant like recidense bldg, rate sensitivity be kept 4 so loading of compressors will take more time duration.

Thanks Muju
now the fluctuation is less, but number of starts is high.
The question here is that correct, i.e. to control the mixed water rather than leaving temperature.

I am almost sure now that there is a problem with this chiller. if anyone have the same chiller, he may check that.
