Hi, I have a AOYR 12 LC system flasing twice on the timer led, any ideas

Outdoor unit does not have timer led.:p
Your error code means that indoor unit doesn't receive communication signal from outdoor unit.

Yes, but you gave us model number of outdoor unit.

1. Check cabel conection indoor<->outdoor units
2. Check fuse 20A on outdoor unit

found out that the fault is the out door board after talking with fujitsu tec dept. IE checked voltage on term 3 on the outdoor board the n tested it on the indoor board, both readings the same. \\\\going to remove the old system and fit a mitsi heavy inverter as i have had no trouble with them. Thanks to all
