Hi

Just installed a copeland oqm 110 condensing unit conected to two searle dsr 116 evaps the problem i have is that on switch on the suction held around 3.5 bar and head 21 bar for a short time, then drops off to 1.2 bar and 19 bar. as this happens the sight glass is clear at first then starts to flash followed by the pressure drop. This lasts a minute then goes back to the higher pressure then goes through the whole cycle again and again and again. Not s,o,g.

How do you know that it is not short of gas ?

Is the cooled space down to temperature yet ?

What is the expansion device ?

Come to that, what is the refrigerant ?

If I were abetting man, I would guess that you have two exansion valves, but each valve was selected for the total duty of the condensing unit.
"To big an orifice in each valve"

Hi
Answers to your Q
Gas R404a
2 x evaps
fan speed control for 1, 2nd 100% with comp.
Once i got hold of the designer (he decieded to call me back). The fault we came up with was it was on the wrong size expantion valves. This came about from changing from sporlan to danfoss T5s required not T2s.
Thanks for your answers
but now waiting for parts to come from Scotland. I'll let you know how it goes!!!!!!!!!
