We have Daikin VRVIII system

Can anyone explain,
1) How ceiling mounted indoor unit identify the air filter choke up & give indicaiton. What is the logic behind it.
Is it depend on suction air or fan current ?.

2) How A/c system identify the all type of faultcode .where can I get information about this logic /interlock?

like the rest it's on run hours you can change the time period or remove it all together

Purely on run hours which can be adjusted to suit the usage of the unit.

Personally I switch off that function in maintained offices as it only raises silly call-outs.

Hi there,

If air filter is blocked the air flow will reduce. If air flow over the evaporator is reduced (for any reason), then air temperature difference (in and out) will increase. Also you will see frost on the surface of the evaporator coil.

This is a fairly simple fault do diagnose.

Cheers

OK, the only information that most of us use is the manufacturer's service manuals, these explain the fault signals and the way to interpret them.
