Hello all

Could somebody please tell me where I can take a city & guilds gas handling course and the costs. I live in the midlands, I need to complete it so I can finish my skill card training. :)

Hi Freezy, Franks right speak to Mel at NCN, I'm studying for my RVQ in refrigeration & A/C and as part of this course we were entered for the C&G Handling Refrigerants course at a cost of £36.00, however I beleive this was heavily discounted by the College, the true cost is somewhere around £175.

Anyway good news was that on 20th April I passed my C&G Safe Handling Of Refrigerants, still has'nt helped me get a better job yet. :D

Freezy, i just did mine a few days ago (for the first time). It should have cost for C&G 2078 £160+vat PLUS another £39 for the certificate.
But with being quiet i linked it into another course C&G 6048 (vehicle air conditioning) and paid a discounted rate of £70+vat.
you still have to pay the £39 for the certificate and £375+vat for the C&G 6048

I went to PRTC in Burnly http://www.prtc.co.uk.

I would recommend them because, not everone passed, and they were not bothered about sending people away as failures.
The attitude was "if you don't score 100% you ain't getting a ticket".
That is a company doing it's job properly.

cheers
