heard it all before

I have a Zanussi fridge with built in icebox. It has been fine for years but now it wont get cold. The icebox is fine. I have teste the thermostat and it seems fine. I have even tried bypassing it but it makes no difference. The compressor is running but there is a "gargling / dripping noise from inside the icebox. Does anyone have any ideas to help???

As a guess based on the info i'd say its either short of refrigerant, has a blockage in the capillary or the compressor isn't pumping. Will be cheapest to buy a new one. This is assuming its all nice and defrosted.
