hi, am installing a mitsibishi units but not sure if i have got the adreses right can some one please help...
ground floor:
1 outdoor unit pury 400..adress set is 51,
1 bc box adress set 52
6 indoor units,adress is:
1.0.6
2.0.5
3.0.4
4.0.3
5.02
6.0.1
then a seperate system on another 3 floors (own bc box and outdoor unit) adressed the same AS ABOVE.

But all the outdoors link together and go to a PAC 60 controller then a cable from there to a AG150 WHICH is the main controller....THE QUESTION IS WILL THE CONTROLLER SEE ONLY 1 FLOOR OF UNITS BECAUSE THE UNITS ARE ADRESSED THE SAME?????
should it be adressed in 10's after 9

Every single unit with an Mnet address being controlled from the G150 has to have a unique address.
Thats every indoor unit, every PAR27 remote controller, every BC & every outdoor unit.
Otherwise if there are any two units with the same Mnet address the system will never run & display 6600 duplicate address.

Try to think of the system as a network of computers. Each computer has to have different IP address to be able to communicate with the other computers in the network. You are the IT technician responsible for network administration & you can decide which address to set for each unit.

The Mnet address is always made with 2 rotary dips. One is always marked on the circuit board as 10's & the other is always marked as 1's.
For individual controll of every indoor unit you can connect up to 50 indoor units to a central controller like AG150 & in that case every indoor unit would have unique address 01 through to 50.

Mitsubishi normally will provide a full schematic of each system showing the Mnet address for every unit to help you.

Your system is addressed as stand alone system with 1st indoor unit Mnet address 01 to 06.
For the next system the 1st indoor unit needs to be Mnet address 07 to whatever.
The Outdoor unit is always set for the smallest indoor unit address plus 50. So thats why your standalone system has outdoor unit address 51
1+50= 51.
The next system has smallest indoor address 07 so outdoor unit is 7+51 = 58.
BC box is always smallest indoor unit address plus 51 so thats why your standalone system BC address is 52.
The BC Mnet address will always be one higher than the outdoor unit address.

I think your list also includes indoor unit branch address settings.
this rotary dip goes 1 to 9 & then A,B,C,D,E,F,G. This makes branch address setting possible for up to 16 port BC box on one rotary dip.
You need to make sure when you install the interconnecting refrigeration pipe from port 1 at the box to the indoor unit that you set that indoor unit to Port 1 on the SW14 branch address dip & the same for the branch / port connection for all the other indoor units.
This offten gets forgotten about untill commissioning & then it can be very difficult to trace the piework from every indoor unit back to the BC box to see which port it is connected to.

You dont need a degree to be able to set this up & after you have done a few systems it becomes second nature & you dont even think about it.
