Hello All...
I just have responsible to maintain a small server room and the servers inside, and manage its temperature too... i am very new in refrigeration

my question,
1. what is the recommended temperature range for server room / data center? could the members/experts here advice the refferral/the standards link too?

2. i monitored temperature there...
is it good if the lower temperature and lower humidity?
--- or lower temperature and higher humidity?

3.
--- or is it still okay if the temperature higher and humidity higher
--- or is it dangerous if the temperature higher and humidity lower?

thank you in advance and this wonderful forum....

Normally 21degC with return around 23 - 23.5 and high airflo. The humidity is very important 50% RH to minimise static electricity. This is my experience on mainly bigger Data storage facilities.

The supplier of the server equipment should provide you with the requirements of his equipment; you shouldn't have to guess, it isn't fair on you.

Most server rooms are kept too cold.

RH needs to be at least 50%.

Low humidity equals poor cooling capability.

A recommended environment
range of 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) (dry-bulb temperature) and a relative humidity
(RH) range of 40% to 55%. ( Ashrae)

But still you should go through the data sheet of the I.T Equipment and their respective air flows.

High RH leads to condensation and Low RH leads to Static Charges.
