I am seeking wisdom regarding what I believe to be a compressore that is rapidly loading and unloading.

The compressor drive is hydraulic using Load sense technology. This simply means that as the load changes on the compressor, the hydraulic system adjusts to match the load.

The compressor runs at about 1100 rpm.

There times when the hydraulic circuit controlling the compressor starts to pound, hammer or whatever you wish to call it. This in my belief is induced by the compressor and it's associated circuit.

This system is aboard a new fishing vessel. All of the hydraulic functions operate perfectly - even the refrig circuit mose of the time.

My question is: Is there anything in a refrig. circuit that could cause this to occur?
The compressor is a dual piston unit, and I have no idea what brand it is. I know it is worth about 5k Cdn.
Thanks in advance for your insight.

Hi sounds like a faulty sensor????
or is the compressor getting liquid refrigerant??
what are the pressures ?
what type of gas??
good luck!
