Hi Guys,

Anyone out there had experience of oil pressure problems on Linde packs, i have heard of it in the past but no one has ever come up with a solution.

Pack in question is a Linde VHP400-4192

Yes, i know Noah had one of these in the ark but any help would be appreciated.

Yes, Oil,strainers, driers and seperator have been done. Condenser fans have been adjusted from 200 to 210 to see if any difference but all the pots go out on OP switch.

Pack on R408 and using Shell SD Oil

regards

Hi Raymond,

Cant help you on this one as we don't have them here.

One thing I do know, Linde refrigeration is being sold to Carrier for EUR 325 million.

Will it help your oil problem? I doubt it.

Is this the kind of compressor the pump oneside, connected with a kind of open electric motor where you can take of the backend, and remove the stator by pulling it out ?

If so yes than they tend to go out on oil pressure after some years of service.

This type of compressor is a semi closed compressor with bolted on electromotor.
The ax comming out of the compressor has a shaftseal witch start to leak oil (visible under the unit).
The oilpressure goes from the oilpump straight to the shaftseal and if it leaks even a little bit it loses pressure, and the oilswitch trips.
It can be resoveld bij replacing the shaftseal.

If this is the case I can give you directions on how to do this.
