Hi,
Has anyone ever brought any refrigerant from Ebay and a supplier called tradetrotter based in germany they are selling 2kg cylinders of R134,R22,R404 ect.
Does anyone have any experiance with these or is it a bit of a scam.

thanks

I suspect that the cylinders are disposable which are now banned so i'd be carefull

His R22 is for a cylinder only, no gas.

His R134a works out at about £36 per kilo, is that cheap or expensive?

Just bite the bullet and get yourself some gas.

Surely selling gas over ebay is illegal? Or does Germany not have the same stringent gas handling rules as Australia?

(EDIT: And England too I guess, since thats where youre buying it from)

At least if you buy your refrigerant from a reputable supplier, the quality should be assured. Of course, you may have to prove that you are Refcom registered, before you can purchase from UK suppliers.

People hoarded it and now find they can't get rid of it.
Cheaper to retrofit R-12 equipment or is usually replaced due to age.
