Need some expert opinion on effect in refrigeration system working with R134a and synthetic oil contaminated with forane-141b.
One of our customer had run a centrifugal chiller operating with R134a and synthetic oil – 46 grade, after charging fresh refrigerant. On few minutes, the oil pressure dropped drastically. On evaluation it was found that the oil viscosity had dropped down by almost 50%. On testing, the refrigerant was found to be contaminated with forane-141b.
Can you please suggest any possible effects of forane-141b on a synthetic oil and effect of R134a & forane-141b mixture?

R141b is a flushing agent. Did the system have a burn out or was it flooded with water?
