Getting into the automotive side a bit more and was wondering if there is a reasonable way to test/service a compressor on a bench with a reasonable degree of success?

It would seem to be a good service to offer a customer if the parts are available.

Failing that would anyone know of a UK based company that can offer service exchange units?

Did a forum search but nothing popped up

All advice welcome.

Seems not, ;)

Perhaps contact the compressor manufacturers to see what backup they provide and whether you can add to it.

Thanks for the reply Brian, spoken to Sanden and after a few emails got a reply suggesting Compressortech, after a few emails from them finally got a price for a reconditioned unit, but no information on seal kits or parts, for me at least its mostly been broken shafts, broken reed valves or a seal gone, that’s not to say that’s all of the faults but seals and reed valves I feel are serviceable on the bench if the parts are available.

There is an ebay company offering seal kits so someone is selling them, but as in all things where there is a profit information’s taken to the grave :p

any info is most welcome :)
