Hi,

got a little russel evap( 2.48kw) with a tex 2 valve, was on r22, now on r422d, currently got a No1 orifice in it, acording to info for valve its border line N01/2 orifice, does anyone know is it worth going to the larger, orifice for the new gas.

check your s/h . if its ok then no if not then yes .

If it is border line try and stay with the smaller orofice. I have found that moving to the larger orifice results in erratic operation of the valve. it opens flooding the coil the bulb senses and the valve backs right of all happens to quickly.whereas the smaller orofice gives smother operation.
