Hi, Guys.

I'm no expert in refrigeration by any means. I've been asked to do some research and look for a suitable company around the manchester area to repair, restore an aging but apparently good, and expensive to replace compressor...

I've found this company, trumeticlimited.co.uk
It seems that's all they do, so I guess they are pretty specialist in it.
I've found other companies which seem to do a range of stuff, but trumetic seem to specialise only in refrigeration compressors.

Can anyone pass on any advice on choosing a company to do work like this? Anything I should ask them or tell them when getting a quote for the work?
I'm a bit lost and don't want to be taken for a total mug... :o

Cheers.
Mike.

Really?

Thanks, Quality. I weren't really expecting anyone here to have actually had dealings with them.

I'll give them a call, I've absolutely no idea of price yet, no idea what is a good quote or a rip-off...

Thanks for the advice.
Mike.

I've had good dealings with Preston Refrigeration. Always quoted good prices on small hermetics (sale not repair) and larger service exchange units gave no probs - they even sorted out the collection.

Worth a punt. Not sure of contact details but something tells me they are based in Preston possibly.:D

What is the comp you are talking about?

As for Trumetic I have dealt with them for many many years and they are as good a company as you can get.

I would also recomend J&E halls in Derby. They have an excelent reputation and Derby is only a few hours from Manchester.

I've also delt with trumetic without any problems, if they're local to you give them a try, ask for Gary or Mark..

Prestons are also good but are based in Birmingham, they are part of Johnsons Controls (York)..
