samsung rl39wbsw problem

after switching on the fridge/freezer pull down to temp and it cuts off.the only way to restart it is to switch it off and then back on again.i dont get involved in domestics usually but it is one of my commercial customers.has anybody any ideas.thanks

OK so I'm not a refrigerator specialist ( yet )

But I'm wondering if this fridge isn't coming out of defrost.

Reading the manual it appears that the compressor and fan are off in deforst mode but the damper motor swings continuously.

If you have these conditions maybe the problem lies with either defrost heater not working or the defrost thermostat\sensor.
