Hi All,

Does anyone have a list of specific heat of materials, including packaging materials? Also, what value for specific heat should we use for "Cardboard" as its generally used as packaging, when its a mixture?

regards

A good text on heat-transfer will list specific heat capacities in the index.

A composite specific heat is normally set up as a weighted mass fraction of each component (the simple way - enough for general design purposes).

Cp,mix = (m,a/m,total)*Cp,a + (m,b/m,total)*Cp,b

There may also be other preferred methods, which look at the heat-flow through the composite.

You could do some experiments on the material composite & work out your own Cp. :D
