Dear all,

Please help me on the following:

What is the maximum starting current of a system (AHU connected to two condenser units) if we know the maximum starting current of each component:

Maximum starting current of evaporator fan = 74 Amp

Maximum starting current of condenser fan = 21.75 Amp (Number = 2 condenser fans)

Maximum starting current of compressor = 125 Amp (Number = 2 compressors)

Is the maximum starting current equals the total of maximum starting current of each component?

Thanks.

Hi as a rule of thumb the answer is yes!
if u have inverter compressors or fans the picture is different.
it would be recomended to start componnents one at a time .

Meaning, the maximum starting current is 367.5 Amp..

Seems like the amp is a bit outrageous..

Your maximum is 125amp as stated by yourself.

Depending on sequence of turning ON of electric loads, maximum starting current is sum of running current of already turned on loads and starting current of load which is currently on starting.
