We have a account with 5 units model cvge45 and cvgf65.
units are all in working order ,working at 85% capacity all year ,latley 3 units, 2 cvge ,and 1 cvgf ,sprung leakes at the vanes shaft seal .
the leaks are small but need to be delt with ,
has anybody heard of a solution for this problem except replacing the seal?
i was told that there is a company in europe that built a sealed wrap arround for the vanes shaft, that basicly isollates the leak .does anyone have info on this asembly??
:)

Sorry Goshen

We have quite a few CVGE/GF/HE/and old CVABs here on contract and the and have not seen a major problem.

Most probs here are sensors, Soft starters, leaks and I have 1 CVGE with a hot motor. 50% is cool the rest including terminal box was found very hot this week. Liquid strainers for cooling was fine so may take motor off and check orifice etc for problems.

Regards AWW

Hi alan
we had the same problem, last week ,we replaced the filter in the motor liquid cooling line, and the small strainer, cleaned the orifice and so far motor is running cool on both sides,i asked some top guy in trane and this seems to be a known problem.excpecially on cvgf units
