The saga continues, had an e9 error(faulty eev or outdoor board), both exp. valves meter out ok so i replaced the outdoor board.

How long does self address take? I pressed reset for 5 seconds as per manual, unit not showing on dbacs after 1 hour, should i be worried?

Try powering down the master unit keep reset pushed in and power back up re address should about 15 mins this works on reyq vrv3

once you've powered down the outdoor unit the fault codes should dissapear
if all else fails contact Daikin Technical 01932879200

Ok, powered down indoors and outdoor, repowered indoors and reset outdoor.

Outdoor not registering on dbacs and indoors faulting on E9 again:rolleyes:

Any ideas? Could the expansion valve board be faulty?

Thanks for the input so far....

are the dip switches the same as the old pcb? not sure on the expansion valve if you have another unit the same on site it might be worth comparing the resistance of the motors and outputs from the pcb

James

No dips on this board or the old one, weird that its dropped off the dbacs.

Alex
i've been reading upon your E9 error code and found an alternative description to the daikin text description this description points directly to the expansion valve coil

How did you get on with the valves?

Hi James

Believe it or not i'm still waiting on the valves and the go ahead from the customer, speaking to a previous tech who serviced these units this has happened before with the same symptoms so i'm confident that the valves will fix the problem. Thanks for the help
