maybe one for Thermotec... i have a vrf system, 17 indoors and 7 lossnay unit's, lossnay units are on a plz51 controller wired onto the m-net. when we have a power failure the lossnay controller loses their address's and just flashes HO when the power is reinstated. The controller then has to be manually re-addressed. any idea's why??

The addressing of the systems could be the problem.

Make sure the indoor units are 001 to 017 & then all Lossnay units are after Mnet address 017.
018, 019,020,021,022,023,024.
Make sure the Mnet Lossnay controller is set to 118 if it is group controlling all Lossnay units together.
If using G50 or AG150 central controller make sure group settings match indoor unit & Lossnay address settings including the Lossnay group & its local controller.

When power is cut & then switched back on all indoor units will look to electronic handshake with local remote controllers but all units in a group need to be consecutively addressed & the remote controller needs to be set for the lowest indoor units address in the group.

So in this case the group of Lossnay indoor units need to be 018 trough to 024 & the Mnet local Lossnay remote controller needs to be set 118.
Then after power cut the local Mnet Lossnay remote controller will automatically assume control of all the Lossnay units without any manual reconfiguration reset.

Indoor units & Mnet remote controllers have 100's digit pre set on the circuit board so you only have to set 10's & 1's digits.

thanks for reply. indoor units are coded 001-017 and lossnays are 018-024. we also have a pac-yt35sta group/timer controller. this is coded to 201. the lossnay controller is a pz52 not a 51 and set to address 118. maybe this pacyt controller is causing confusion ?

I had the same problem on one of those PAC YT group controllers last year.
Mnet controller flashing HO after power cut to outdoor unit.
All Mnet addressing was correct but remote controller address setting not programed into the group controller for the groups.
After programing in the remote controller address for the group all ok & correct operation after power cut.

Basically when the units in a system can see a group controller 201 on the Mnet the indoor units refer to the group controller for the group setup.
In this respect its exactly th same with G50 / AG150 full central controllers.
If no remote controllers programmed for the group at the 201 group controller, then the indoor units assume that the control should only be from the 201 group controller & the local remote controller does not carry out the electronic handshake with its indoor units & then just flash HO basically because the 201 group controller has not been set up with the local remote control address for each group of indoor units or Lossnay units.

I cant help with the setup of the group controller you really need a manual for that.
