hi guys with old p/cold and c/land compressors the live wire goes on run and start windinds and neutral on common pin ,But on aspera and other can compressors it has neutral on run and start windings and live run on common pin , is there a reason for it ,

No. There is no reason and it doesn't make any difference.
Its alternate currant. On a DC it would make a different.

On the old prestcold stuff the live in goes to the compressor terminal box first and then to the box with the relay and caps in so if klixon is in the live circuit and opens, all the power is cut and compressor stops running.

On the aspera and l'unite style comps power goes to the relay box first then to the compressor, so if in this case the klixon was in the live as per prestcold, when it operates the comp would still try to run but only on the start winding... but by putting the klixon in the neutral is breaks the circuit totally.
