Hi! I am new to the forum and am hoping that someone can help me with a really simple question. I recently moved into a new flat and my Hoover Frost Free Optima is not keeping food cool. I've had lots of stuff go bad in the past two weeks and am getting pretty frustrated. I looked online for an operating manual but cannot find one. My question is at the top of the fridge there is a dial that goes from 0-4. I have it on 4 right now thinking that was the coolest. But now I'm thinking that maybe it means 4 degrees and I need to turn it to 1 or 2. Any ideas? I'm a bit loath to turn it without knowing for sure as I don't want to lose any more food to the rubbish bin.
Thanks very much!

hi rjmanor, I,m not farmilliar with the make of fridge you mention, but the dial in the fridge , will be the thermostat, so if you turn it down and the compressor starts you could be on the right road , by the way the numbers dont represent degrees C or F all the best ,
